- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆I have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this police department for strictly administrative purposes. Firstly, the department overcharges for VIN verification & fingerprinting. Secondly, talk about less than professional. I am a polite person, and respectful to LEO, as I was formally a police officer, I understand the daily grind. However, that does nothing to exonerate their treatment of citizens. On the phone I was absolutely talked down to by "Karen", on another occasion during a VIN check both the officer (wish I knew his name) and desk secretary were, for a direct term, jerks. Multiple occasions, same behavior. Leading one to believe this interaction with citizens is common, maybe enforced by the entire department. I will rely on CSPD for anything from this point forward, making a longer drive is better than being subjected to second class treatment. If I owned a shop, not a chance I would offer any discount to anyone hailing from Woodland Park PD, why would I? When they're already making extra money from by overcharging! VIN verification is often done for FREE, fingerprinting is ~$15, not as WPPD it's $21.By VIc Sivic, August 29, 2017
